Gingerdoodle

Warm spices and a little sourdough magic come together in this holiday-inspired cookie. We brown the butter for extra depth and swirl in molasses and sourdough discard for a soft, chewy texture with that hint of tang. Each cookie is rolled in cinnamon sugar before baking so the edges crackle and the center stays tender. Full of ginger, cinnamon, cloves and all the cozy flavours of the season. It tastes like fresh baking on a winter afternoon no matter what time of year you enjoy it.

Ingredients: Browned butter (milk), water, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, sourdough starter (flour, water), egg yolks, vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, bread flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, sea salt, molasses, ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, nutmeg.
